Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with, in a partnership, or sponsored by Glitch in any way. I just wanted to put out a small tutorial on how to get your glitch account set up so that you can use it for simple HTML projects without the worry of the backend of hosting, running, or creation of a server.

This is a simple tutorial on how to set up a glitch account for anyone looking for a simple way to get your web pages up and running! This will be done in some simple steps just follow along, I will have red markers around the links inside my images that you need to click to get started. If you have questions don’t hesitate to leave a comment below and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Step 1:
Head over to Glitch.com and click the signup button in the top right corner to get started.

Step 2:
You will be presented with this link to ask you which option you want to signup using, Facebook, GitHub, Google, or Email Magic Link.

Once you decide on a method to create your account, you can now jump into the fun that is Glitch! This step will just be showing you how to get a simple HTML page up and running and how to share it with the world.

Step 3:
If you are logged in just click the new project button in the top right corner near your profile picture.

This will give you a drop-down that shows three options if you are building a hello-webpage, hello-express, or hello-SQLite. All three of these will have descriptions of what they are for, although we are just selecting the hello-webpages.

Once you have that it should provide you with a small tutorial on where everything is, if for any reason you don’t see what you’re looking for, these are the highlighted areas that you want to pay attention to the most.
Show: this option lets you view your web page in another tab or view it beside your code.
Share: share the link to your page to show others your amazing work!
New File: If you want to add an image, new file(any type) you will want to use this option.

That’s it, you’re done! Congratulations on completing this tutorial! I hope that this helps in getting your glitch account setup, a simple webpage running, and the ability to share it with the world!
As a side note, if you don’t want to use the name they provide, make sure to click the name above the share link and change it from whatever they provide to whatever you need it to be so that others can find your page.

Note: When you upload an image, the reference link will be broken, so once you upload the image, you will need to click on it and get the link from glitch and then paste that reference into the original source location.
